EYES LIKE PEARLS PRESENTS: LETS SEW!
SEW 101: Basics for the NOT so Basic
Hey GirlBosses, future seamstresses, boutique owners, and crafty peeps....I bring you something that is near and dear to my heart!
I've been sewing for 10+ years. Growing up I watched my grandmother make clothing and drapes in her hand built design studio. I furthered my knowledge January 1st, 2007 when I moved to Los Angeles, CA from Washington, DC to attend The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), where I obtained my degree in Fashion Design.
While independent designing has become very popular over the past couple of years, many people cannot afford to go to school: be it time or money. Others may want to learn how to do the bare minimum to make staple, basic clothing. And others may want to start a boutique reconstructing vintage or cool finds (its very fun, BTW!) Whatever the case may be, Ive created a Digital Guide to help you achieve your goals...but for like, a million % off of my tuition.
SEW 101 offers 5 different pattern packets, as of now, for you to enjoy different variations of basic sewing for staple pieces!
